Ginger Turmeric Tea
This beverage may be enjoyed hot or cold. It is an excellent drink to reduce inflammation and promote good digestion:
4 cups water
2 tsp dry turmeric powder or 2 tablespoons fresh turmeric root grated
1-2 tsp ginger root powder or a one to two inch piece of ginger grated
a pinch of black pepper
Stevia or Raw honey to taste
Juice of half a lemon or to taste
Bring water to a boil, add turmeric and ginger and simmer for 10 minutes. Strain. Season to taste with stevia or raw honey and lemon. Enjoy warm or chilled.
